Mr. Rivera's new project is further evidence that salsa romántica can be a very strong force on the dancefloor. Rivera's band is comprised of top players from both New York and Puerto Rico. There's conguero Sammy García, timbalero Pablo Padin, bongocero Carmelo Álvarez and co-producer Carlos Martínez on piano. Certainly one of the best gems here is Cosas de Mi Tierra, a típico salsa-guajira number composed by Tommy Sánchez, that features guests Luis Perico Ortiz, Nino Segarra, Rubén Rodríguez, Richie Bastar and others.
